Why do abortion advocates high behind the privacy part of the constitution

They're not 'hiding,' abortion is a medical procedure, & therefore is protect under law as doctor/patient confidentiality.

Abortion has been practiced for a very long time. Women in ancient Egypt would often take a witches brew of herbs & toxins to induce a miscarriage. Your 'morality' does not extend back that far.

Anyway. There IS no ''privacy part'' in the Constitution. People confuse amendment IV with having a right to privacy, when it in fact protects people from ILLEGAL search & seizure. If there is probable cause that someone is involved in a crime, & there is a signed warrant to search their property, all of their private possessions can be gone through with a fine-tooth comb.

And, actually, it gets more complicated. If a cop comes to ur house without a warrant to ask u some questions, say their canvassing the neighborhood in relation to a crime that has been committed, & they see a pair of bloody shoes lying on ur floor (I worked on a case just like this). They can take those shoes as evidence, cuff you, mirandize you, & interrogate you.

Now that I have that done & over with. Abortion is legal. Whether u like it or not, it is someone is choice whether or not they want to have an abortion. It has nothing to do with so-called privacy in the Constitution. It is legal. That is that. Left wing nut jobs who want to go on about the Constitution & privacy only have to say Roe v. Wade made abortions legal, so I will have an abortion if I want one. They do not have to misinterpret the United States Constitution to get their point across. What they fail to realize is decisions CAN be overturned. If there r enough people out there who want to make Roe v. Wade go away one day, it will.

They HIDE behind the privacy issue as it diverts attention away from the real issue - Murdering the UNBORN CHILD.

Although a woman has the right to determine what goes on about her body, she should not have the right to terminate a human is life merely for expedience is sake.
I wish more women took the time to really learn what happens to THEIR bodies when they have an abortion, especially at later stages of development. Many no longer can bring to term a baby. Others r tortured by their thoughts of who they killed later on in life.

I do not agree with their argument that it is their Right. That right ends when another human life is involved, & calling it a fetus or embryo is a transparent attempt to dehumanize the life growing inside of them.

Abortion has existed for thousands of years. There was a plant in ancient Greece that caused abortions. It was completely wiped out from overusage. During Lincoln is time & until the 1880's, abortion was considered a necessary evil. The founding fathers thought nothing of it. It is just a bunch of nonsense they use to support their cause. Fact of the matter is, Democrats did the same thing with slavery. They claimed that because the law (at the time) said that blacks were ''property'' & could be killed or enslaved that it meant it was ok & because it was legal they had every right to trample on the lives of other people. It worked for them & they did not want to have to limit their own freedoms to protect those of someone else. They hid behind parts of the Constitution that they could possibly find any half baked way to use to try & support their cause. Not much different than what they r doing now with abortions. Just a different victim. And Republicans r still fighting to protect the rights of those that r being destroyed. It is the way it usually plays out.

What Lincoln thinks does not particularly matter; he was a traitor anyway (Article III, Section 3).

The forefathers would probably object more to loss of individual rights than some ridiculous notion attempting to justify that a woman be reqiured to bear children against her will.

i think this issue needs to be left up to every single person and whatever personal situation they have at the time.

They did not believe a baby was alive before it started to move in its mother is womb. Before that point, abortion was not considered wrong.

Abortion has been practiced since before Biblical times, so they would obviously have known about it. Perhaps they saw it like all other issues..as an indivial issue that government should not interfere with.
