What are some reasons to have an abortion or not too

the only reason i wud have an abortion was if my life was in danger .. otherwize i wud never even think about it

The only pro is that if u r selfish enough to not care about murdering babies, then ur body would not get fat & ugly, but that happens to everyone as we get older anyway, so why go through all of the psychological effects of doing it. The only exception is when the baby is dying anyway & carrying it any further would kill the mother. Remember that killing a baby would still deeply effect the mother, most mothers would rather die then see their baby die.

The cons to having an abortion is that there is an immediate connection between mother & child & the mother will always feel as if she destroyed a part of herself. This can become a terrible burden (guilt leading to depression) for the mother that only gets worse & worse. Another reason is that it is murder, no matter if u believe the baby is actually alive yet, it is a new human life forming & as soon as u stop that new life, it is murder. Murder is never right.
The last thing, is that there r hundreds (possibly thousands, although I do not have the statistics) of couples out there that can not have children who would like to adopt. If u do not want the baby, give it to a mom & dad who will love it & take care of it.

It is extremely painful to the unborn child.It encourages people to have unprotected sex.It causes suicide in woman who have aborted babies.Abortions can go wrong and many women have died from having an abortion.

I personally would abort if there was a medical reason or because i was raped and didnt want to be reminded..
But on the other hand i would not because it can cause alot of emotional distress for a woman afterwards.

I see abortion as an option only in the case of rape, or when the mother is life is in danger by continuing the pregnancy. Other than that, a person should accept responsibility for their actions. If they can not raise a child then adoption should be the answer. Murder is murder, a fetus or embryo has a heartbeat at 22 days gestation. In my opinion he/she is already a person, he/she has a soul.
I forget the website, but I saw the video online of an actual abortion, it showed the fetus struggling to resist ''the vacuum & it showed the human formation that had already taken place - facial features, fingers. it was the most disturbing thing I've ever seen!

reason for: because you're not capable of having a baby & even carry a baby to full term (as many on here will try to convince people into doing - for adoption etc) will cause serious harm to the mothers (and or babies) health!!

reason against: because if you're having sex u should be ready for the consequences & therefore not using abortion as a form of contraception

reason for: because the baby is a result of rape & would be a constant reminder & the mother could not emotionally cope

reason against: there r many other ways to cope with having a baby when u r not ready, eg adoption

I would just like to add that not matter what any one one here (or anywhere) says, every person has the right to choice whether they have an abortion or not! There r multiple reasons why people would want to, & other people should not try to take this right away from people by saying that it is murder etc, that is how they feel & they're entitled to their opinion, however that opinion should not be imposed onto other people, especially young girls in bad situations.

I am personally against abortion, but if your kid is gonna be a daddyless welfare child who will end up in prison. who am I to judge?

Reasons to get an abortion:
pregnancy from rape,
birth defects,
not having the means to support a child,
not wanting a child.

Reasons not to get an abortion:
Babies can feel pain,
you could always put the baby up for adoption,
after 21 weeks (i believe) the baby can live outside the whom!

since you have a lot of reasons not to a reason to get one is if the mother is not ready to have a child or if shes a teen and wants to continue her education and not worry about people finding out what if the girl was raped she might not want the constant reminder that somewhere out there is a kid that was born out of lust and she wont want to hate the kid

Pro abortion: mother-to-be too young, financial constraints, lack of maturity/education, lack of support, birth defects, genetic problems, baby is the result of rape/physcial abuse, failure of birth control.

Anti-abortion: Do not have any reason other than I do not believe in abortion as a method of birth control.

Pros: rape victims do not have to have their rapists' baby, decreases the percentages of teen mothers, people who cannot afford to raise a child do not have to put the child through severe poverty, women have the right to choose

Cons: emotionally distressing, some women do not understand the consequences of sex, ending of life

I would never suggest a abortion for anyone except for a young woman that is raped by someone incestuously, and gets pregnant

Pros-
Sometimes, babies will have gentic diseases, have a disease passed down from parents, parents are unable to take care of child, do not want to have their rapist is baby
Cons- just plain do not want a baby, results in unnecessary death quite a bit of the time, looked down upon by most of society, is illegal in some places, and can deprive a healthy child from a full life.

Reasons not to have an abortion: you are killing a living creature. 2) if you did not want one why did not you protect yourself.

remember if you get rape and get pregnant there is always an option of giving that kid for adoption. because it was not the babies fault

to young
you still have life experiences to fufill
not commited to your baby is father
you dont have a job that pays well enough to obtain a family, house, and needs.
you dont have any support.

Why not to get an abortion:
You dont want to kill a human being for YOUR mistake
You want your child to experience things in life, and not being taken out of the mother at only 6 weeks.
You want to raise a family.

By three weeks after conception a woman is BARELY figuring out she is pregnant & the baby already has a HEARTBEAT. Abortions r performed before 13 weeks & by 13 weeks a baby already has a heartbeat, brain waves, can feel pain, fingernails, fingerprints, has hears, eyes, & spinal chord. There r many reasons to not have an abortion & NO reason to have one. Pregnancy from rape is rare because of the stress, in a study i read only about .1 percent of all abortion patients have been raped.

the excuse of not wanting to bring a baby up in a non financially stable environment is STUPID. there r thousands of people that want a child out there. its perfectly legal to turn in ur baby no questions asked at a hospital if u cant take care of it. let someone else have it DONT KILL IT

um because its murder! you are killing a living human being that never even got a chance to live! if you dont want a kid dont have unprotected sex or give it up for adoption, you dont need to kill it!

The only reason in my opinion that it is ever ok to have an abortion is if the baby has something wrong with it where it is going to die soon after birth. Or have something horribly wrong with it.

my personal opinion i would never get an abortion no matter the reason!!!! God gives you the gift of life and he wants you to give your baby life to! no matter the circumstances the baby came from
