Your assumption that an abortion constitutes doing what u want with *your own body* is factually wrong in two different ways: (1) From a purely scientific point of view, from the time of conception, the baby is genetically unique & distinct from the mother, the father or any other living thing or human. This logical argument alone should suffice, but just in case.(2) From a theological point of view, we r not our own, but each one of us was bought at a price, the price of the perfect God-Man, Jesus Christ is suffering & death on the cross to redeem us from sin, death & the power of Satan.
The issue of abortion is, in fact a matter of right & wrong. You say that it is a matter of personal choice, but would u use the same argument for rape? Hmm, ''I am personally against rape, but I think it is a matter of personal choice, therefore it should be legalized.''? That is crazy! So why do u make that argument in favor of abortion which is the killing of another human being?
I do not think that not allowing for an abortion in the case of incest or rape is necessarily bad. My high school math teacher always reminded us that two negatives may make a positive, but that does not mean two wrongs make a right. Why should we encourage a woman to respond to the violence done to her with violence toward the innocent unborn child that resulted? That is like suggesting to a kid whose been bullied at school to go home & hurt his younger siblings or kill the dog. It does not make much sense in the arena of justice. That wo not bring justice to the real wrong doer, but will only punish someone who is innocent of the crime committed. Neither will it put a stop to the wrongdoing, but in fact will encourage it by not incurring a just punishment on the actual wrongdoer. Have u ever thought that many men who commit incest or rape against a woman actually push her to get an abortion so that all evidence of his wrongdoing is erased? How is that justice? There r several documented cases of this, so abortion is not a solution to the victim is problems, but a ''solution'' for the victimizer that allows him to keep victimizing! (BTW, only 1-2% of abortions r done because of rape or incest.)
The woman will still have to endure the suffering that goes along with rape or incest. Then on top of it, she having been underinformed at best about the dangers & suffering that comes with abortion will have to deal with those things as well. She will have been essentially raped twice, once by the original wrongdoer & another time by the abortionist (and largely our society who allows this atrocity). Abortion does not only destroy an unborn human, it also hurts women, physically (almost always with reproductive consequences & sometimes with death!), mentally, emotionally & spiritually. It is about time people wake up to this fact:

There r caring, compassionate ministries out there that take into account the connection between sexual abuse & abortion. Here is one: http://word-of-hope.org/index.html And there r countless Crisis Pregnancy Centers throughout the country who have the same compassion for women enduring crisis pregnancies. It is & should be our concern both on an individual level & societal level about how women r treated. They r not only important, but essential to a healthy society!
Here is r some reality check videos for u to chew on concerning abortion. Anyone who tries to sanitize the real violence going on in such procedures is the one who ought to think again about what is crazy:

In addition, abortion is important to the Republican platform because of the societal & ecomonical consequences of it. If it hurts women, it hurts society because women r essential to a healthy society as mothers of the families that make up that society.
Not many people make the connection between abortion & economics, but there is one. Democrats yell & scream about the failing Social Security system. It probably would not be failing if we had not killed off the millions of children who would be contributing to the system today.
Democrats yell & scream about the failing health care system, but they push doctors whose profession is by nature to save lives, to perform unecessary abortions! Tell me, if doctors r supposed to be improving & saving lives, why r Democrats pushing for legislation that would force pro-life OB/GYNs to perform or refer for abortions, & even move closer to abortion clinics!? And if we start forcing them to do this, why not assisted suicide? And if this. well, what the heck r doctor is for. to save lives or destroy them?
Why r Republicans so ''crazy''? No, why r Democrats so willingly blind to things that r so obvious?!
