OK I am not in America but the only issuses people have with obama is that he is pro-gay and pro-abortion.
Why do people care that much about stuff that will probably not affect them?( Assuming you are not gay)

I voted for Obama even though I am against his views on Abortion.
Abortion DOES affect people. They say there is going to come a time where so many unborn american will be killed by the hands of his/her mother and doctor, that it would have been enough for each woman in the US to have had one.

Abortion has been a key issue since the 70's, & same-sex marriage became a key issue this decade as a few states have deemd fit to legalize it.
These r moral issues that, properly understood, leave room for no compromise. Therefore, not only does everyone have opinions on these topics, they're strong opinions.

This election people did not focus on it as much as in the last one.
I care very much about these issues. It does not affect me directly concerning gay rights, but affects my friends & possible family some day. They should have all the same rights I have.
And with abortion, its my body. How many fertilized eggs r killed every year though in-vitro. They fertilize eggs, implant them & the majority do not even survive. (I know that is a small number compared to abortion), but life is life. Also it is much safer to have it legal. Though the rich can leave the country the majority of people can not & will be left to either keep it or in a lot of cases risk their own lives with dangerous methods of abortion.

Both do affect me. You do not have to be gay to be affected by homosexuals. Trust me. And abortion affects me as much as the Holocaust does (I've had family in both).
The question is moot now anyways.Obama won.

People should worry about the degrading of society because the family should be the central part of what we are. Barack plan is for government to take this decision from what is natural.
His roots are in Marxism,..will he govern from his past agenda? He voted to allow 14 year old girls to have an abortion without including the family.
